Glowing sheep

If it weren’t for Samsung’s banners at the end of this video, you’d presume that this was all some spectacular stunts pulled by farmers who have nothing else better to do.  As much of an amusement as it is an effective advertisement, i couldn’t help but to show this to the masses knowing that it could fit in both of these categories.

archiveLike Wikipedia, many nonprofit organizations exist to expand upon the freely available internet, which is exactly what archive.org is about. Preserving internet content for since 1996 and perhaps the only one of its kind at the time, there are over 150 million archived pages now in service and that’s only including the webpages. With that in mind, users can go back in time and see examples of existing websites in that era such as the official website of Microsoft. Besides that, users also have access to a myriad of media archives including audio and video files. All of the content hosted are legally viewable, meaning that they are either in public domain or licensed to allow free distribution. A great place to find content for a school project or your digital scrapbook, archive.org has just about everything and anything you need to get from the internet, and then some.

flowTaking a break from the familiar Sims of PC gaming, Flow has its players presuming the roles of an aquatic organism in this innovative life simulation first released in 2006. The gameplay mechanics is the simplest and also the most relaxing there is, combining the most basic forms of survival in a streamlined fashion. Wading through the depth of the ocean, players will be able to consume other micro-organisms and grapsing the opportunities to evolve as they go. Recommended for all that are interested in something intuitive, Flow will surely have you in a calm mood after only a short session. For those of you that are looking to expand upon the basic flash game, offline/improved versions of the game are also available for download for PC as well as proprietary titles for the PS3/PSP.

Failed much?

failThere are two categories that things on the internet can be fitted to, one is those that didn’t fail miserably, and the other are those that did. Failblog.org strives to capture internet content that are either hilariously ironic or just plain stupid, many of which would blow you out of your mind. A near infinite amount of content can be found here in the forms of pictures and videos, with new ones added on the clock. Since it has such a large userbase to feed to, readers are the backbone of the editor team, constantly sending in their own “fail” picture/video for an democratic appeal to the masses. Viewers can then rate all the submitted content in the forms of thumbs up or thumbs down and those that stand out will have the honor of making it to the front page for our amusement.
