AutoHotKey is a highly versatile utility that offers the end-user complex customizations in his/her PC input.  Its usage of macro scripts, though somewhat sophisticated to learn overnight, can simulate/repeat mouse clicks and keystrokes and make it a time-saver tasks that would usually require manual interaction. June 11, 2008 Leave a comment

Whether you like humour or not, it is very likely you will encounter some sites of that kind on the internet. Some are good, and others are just plain crappy, but the latter obviously isn’t the case with cracked.com. First started as a humour magazine in 1958, Cracked has migrated to the net and now holds one of the largest collection of funny videos, articles, links, etc. It’s updated frequently throughout the day, so you won’t be bored as long as your fingers are on the mouse button. Citing that as a reference, there is also a large fanbase dedicated to submitting materials everyday for others to enjoy, a definite plus in the current times where viewers are looking more than editorial publishings.

The complete online desktop service

June 8, 2008 1 comment

Glide digital is an early prototype online desktop service with over two dozen useful tools for the user, and hosting a 5GB data storage free of charge for the average user. Some of the basic tools are a photo editor, calendar, email, and a social network group. But what really attracted me to this is its 3 main tools (crunch, present and write), and some of you might have guessed already that these 3 tools are an alternative to Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint/Word, respectively. Though not fully featured, it is 100% internet-based nonetheless, meaning that you can host all of your documents and files online providing ease of access whenever there is internet connections available. With further development and polish, Glide might even be a threat to serious competitor such as Google Docs.
