Echoes

An interesting search on games like Geometry Wars gave me the result of Echoes, a free PC game inspired by classic shooters such as Asteroids. Essentially, you’re piloting a space ship that shoots projectile to destroy hostile objects that come your way as the levels progress through harder waves. Graphics and audio are decent for a game of this size, which isn’t to say that you won’t be playing it over and over again. The whole experience is dynamic and brief to the point, which allows you to progress through waves without loading screens or annoying confirm windows. More standard features include a highscore table as well as difficulty options, but the real fun is the unlockable mini-game that is to be had if you can figure out how to obtain an astronomical score of course.

Worms

Okay, so this is has nothing to do with worms, but some guy in London decided it would to be fun to do a caterpillar dance across the streets while getting the bragging rights he deserved. Enjoy this brief lesson on aerobics and keep your jaws safe from smashing the pavement, which is inevitably going to happen if you attempt this.

Windows SteadyState

steadystateWith the long time introduction and refinement of Windows SteadyState over the years, network administrators or parents alike now have something that will satisfy their needs to create a safe shared computing environment without spending as much as a penny. It does this through two main functions, one being to control what users are able to do and not do on the computer, while the other are to keep the PC in its original state by discarding changes done by users. Ideal for usage in public or workplace computers, owners of said systems would no longer have to bear the worries of someone bogging down PCs with unwanted spyware or viewing otherwise inappropriate content. It would then be an understatement to say that Microsoft has truly outdone themselves, as this is something that will prove itself invaluable in many households and business networks over the long run.

WTF?

Just when you think things couldn’t get weirder, the guys at Pull Ups made this new ad, most likely as a practical joke that somehow found itself onto the commercial line-up while they were carelessly goofing around in their offices.
