Though somewhat creepy, viewers should be aware of the fact that this is not a serious commercial afterall. Rather, tis only a fun and informative message to the young girls eager to bite the bait of innocence.

Mailinator to the rescue!

mailinatorSome time ago i informed blog readers about “BugMeNot“, a website that serves its purpose at providing online user credentials for disposal usage. But what about those times when you just can’t find an used account and have to reveal your precious e-mail account at the wrath of spammers? With mailinator acting as a shield, you are now able to register disposable e-mail accounts under multiple domains that are great for account activations and those times when you know you are gonna get overwhelmed with spam. You can’t send mail using this service, but that’s probably for the better as spammers might take advantage of this. Registration and checking your e-mail here takes literally only a second, which seems lighting fast compared to signing up for a new account at yahoo or gmail.

oiligarchyIn this brilliant attempt by a flash game studio to educate people on the global consequences our daily consumption, players will have the chance to see what it’s like to be a god in the oil industry. You can exercise control over which area of the world you want to explore and extract oil from and it’s all done through your fingertips. Utilizing various methods such as bribing politicans and offshore drilling, one can further extend his/her agenda as far as greed can go in this informative game. Whether it’s politically correct or not, oiligarchy is one of the few rare games that set out to discuss political and social implications rather than just plain flash entertainment. You are encouraged to find out more about it’s developer molleindustria and other politically-aware games that it has put out.

May 8, 2009 Leave a comment

Here at OBTV i’m always in search of new and creative ways to get people off their couches and embarass themselves, so that’s why there’s the little lad dance. Enjoy this performance by the berries and creams lad made famous in the starburst commercials, and feel free to try it out yourself in public.

PC Decrapifier

decrapifierOne of the most common things, and also one of the most annoying that PC users tend to overlook is the amount of pre-installed junk they have on their system when they first bought it. With the help of PC Decrapifier, any computer illiterate can easily remove most if not all of the bundleware on their new PC with just a quick install and use of the program. You might have heard or seen firsthand of Wild Tangent Games or HP Rhadsody on a computer, but that is all in the past once you do a clean removal of the stuff with this neat little app. For those of you who are oblivious of having such application on your computer, or just too lazy to bother with manual uninstalls, pick up this freeware and give it a spin.
