The one-stop chat client

If you’re a person who likes to hang around your computer, chatting with a dozen friends with several different IM programs open, then this is the one-time cure for you. Pidgin, formerly known as Gaim, is a multi-platform IM client, meaning that it allows you to chat with other people over different networks all within one single application. Being complete free and open-sourced, it also operates on a Macintosh or Linux system, whichever you may be using. It also comes prepackaged with loads of emoticons as well as many standards features you’d expect to find in today’s Instant messaging programs. Though video chats are still yet unsupported, it surely makes up for it with a whole bunch of add-ons, allowing you to fully customize it to your desire.
